A 30-year-old purchaser in the North Sydney AURA development has revealed how cryptocurrency helped her buy two apartments worth more than $2m.

Niloufar Tajbakhsh, a cryptocurrency investor and interior designer, bought two two-bedroom apartments for $2.2m and $2.3m in the first stage of the 28-level Woods Bagot-designed project.

And it was the Woods Bagot factor that sealed the deal for her. “They’re brilliant architects — I follow their work,” Tajbakhsh said.

“So it was them, plus the views of the Opera House and Bridge and the proximity to the new metro.”

It was her savvy investments that had given the Iranian-born Tajbakhsh the capacity to buy both apartments on levels seven and 22, the very first properties she’s bought since her arrival in Australia in 2015.
