Imagine waking up to harbour views, preparing for the day in your meticulously designed apartment and walking into the cafe downstairs where your coffee and breakfast arrive exactly the way you like without uttering a word. On your way to the office, you stop by the concierge desk to organise the same-day delivery of a birthday present to an interstate loved one, and a dinner reservation for you and seven friends.
This fantasy has become a reality for the residents at the newly completed AURA by Aqualand luxury apartments in North Sydney.
Lisa Hobbs, chief executive of Etymon Projects, the team behind AURA’s premium concierge service, says “They’re part of your team that is there to look after you and help you live better.”
Every resident at AURA will experience the essential benefits of the concierge service such as assistance in booking the plentiful in-house amenities and facilitating parcel collection and postage.
For those wishing to use Etymon’s elevated lifestyle offering, two bespoke layers of services are also available, at additional cost.
Known as Concierge Now, the second tier includes specialist services such as dinner party organisation and executive assistant expertise.
The top-tier lifestyle management service, Black Key, is by invitation only and provides the highest level of personalisation, from feeding pets and watering house plants to organising visas and airfares for international travel.
Hobbs says “It comes back to if you want access to things that you don’t have time for, you ask the concierge to do that for you – they give a great sense of security.”
The best way for buyers to imagine this seamless lifestyle in their future home is with a tour of the newly completed building itself and a selection of display apartments across multiple levels of the 28-storey project.
Domain toured five apartments, admiring sparkling harbour and district views alongside fresh framing of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
There were also bird’s eye views of the construction underway on the Victoria Cross metro station and the new north shore campus of Reddam House.
A guided inspection of the interiors revealed a sophisticated level of detail – both seen and unseen.
Whether you opt for a lower-level one-bedder or a sky-high three-bedder, the quality of the build, the fixtures and the finishes are the same and designed to impress.
Aqualand executive director development and construction Tom Catalovski says the developer has gone to great lengths to ensure all inclusions are best-in-class, and what’s installed meets strict specifications and high expectations.
“While we’re installing our hand-selected marble – which was inspected on various site visits to quarries in Greece – and high-grade direct-fix timber flooring, it’s really what’s underneath this layer that defines our approach to luxury, such as the high-quality waterproofing membrane we install and the double-glazed facade windows providing acoustic protection,” he says.
“We intend to be in the luxury market for generations to come, so our reputation for delivering the best possible quality is of paramount importance to us. That’s why we developed our own in-house construction arm, to ensure our build quality is second to none and truly lasts the test of time.”
Chevron oak floors and French oak-veneer cabinetry come in a choice of three colours, with the veneer carried into the internal shelving.
The kitchens have chamfered Greek marble benchtops and Gaggenau cooking appliances, and the bathrooms feature floor-to-ceiling marble tiling, fluted glass shower screens and Parisi tapware.
The attention to detail extends past the solid entry doors (with concealed automatic door closers) and into the common areas, where you’ll find recessed corridor lighting and garden beds in the lift foyers.
Amenities at AURA by Aqualand include a fitness and wellness centre fitted with Technogym technology, a skylit indoor pool, a rooftop area with sun deck, private dining rooms, a barbecue and kitchen, and Tesla share vehicles available for hire.
There’s also a newly installed public artwork by Richard Sweeney. Commissioned by Aqualand, the 4.1-metre bronze cast sculpture was inspired by North Sydney’s locale and features organic curves synonymous with the harbour front.
It’s a fitting welcome to AURA’s street-level hospitality precinct, where four new venues will soon open to the public. Choose from bakery, cafe and wine bar Sol, artisanal providore Una, LA-inspired bar and eatery Soluna, and Japanese restaurant and bar Genzo.
